PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable cultivation instrument by which vegetable cultivation starting from seeding can be performed simply and in a hygienic manner at home, and disposal of culture medium after harvesting can be easily done.SOLUTION: A vegetable cultivation instrument is made up of: a reservoir 1； a cultivation container 2 which is installed inside the reservoir 1 and on the bottom surface of which a large number of holes is formed； a hardened culture medium 3 placed on the bottom surface of the cultivation container 2； water-feeding strings 5 which feed water 4 in the reservoir 1 to the hardened culture medium 3； and legs 6 installed on the bottom surface of the reservoir 1. The hardened culture medium 3 is mainly composed of peat moss, has ridges 17 which are raised from a base portion 16 having a predetermined thickness, and a streak-like recess 18 for seeding is formed at the top portion of each ridge 17. Water management and thinning-out can be performed easily, and the hardened culture medium 3 can be discarded as burnable waste.
