PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a posture retention cushion that can be washed, and realizes body pressure dispersion which cannot be obtained by a conventional flat cushion, besides, enables stabilizing posture retention and sitting position, further, achieves the body pressure dispersion and the posture retention similar to a mold cushion at a low cost by using a tabular cushioning material.SOLUTION: A posture retention cushion includes a base material 2 for making a three-dimensional shape meeting a surface shape of a user's supported body part and having flexibility and rigidity as a supporting structure, and a cushioning material 3 being a separate member from the base material 2 and covering the face of the body part side. The cushioning material 3 and the base material 2 are used in combination by stacking the cushioning material 3 in the supported body part side of the base material 2. When the user's weight is applied, the base material 2 is deflected while the cushioning material 3 is deformed in a shape reflecting an internal surface shape of the base material 2, and thereby a shape in accord with the user's body shape is applied to the cushioning material 3 and the user's physique is to be held.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
