PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel in which a sound-emitting mechanism of a drag device can compactly be provided in an axial direction, and eventually, while maintaining a compact structure of the sound-emitting mechanism, waterproofing can be achieved and/or lively sound emission without muffled sound can be achieved.SOLUTION: A sound-emitting mechanism 80 of a fishing reel of the present invention includes: a control body 63 having a displacement side 100 where a height periodically changes in a circumferential direction in the reverse rotation of a drive gear 11 a sounding member 75 positioned in an opening side of a recess 11a and intermittently displaced in an axial direction according to a surface change along the circumferential direction of the displacement side 100 of a rotating control body 63 and a pressing body 62 of a drag device 20 having a sound emission part 72 for emitting sound by the collision of the sounding member 75 with the axial displacement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
