PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of cultivating black ginger that efficiently produces black ginger in a shortest time as much as possible by making improvement in a method of artificially cultivating black ginger, and sufficiently swelling a rootstock (tuber) to be harvested, that is, avoiding insufficient growth.SOLUTION: A cultivation method includes planting seedlings of black ginger (Kaempferia parviflora) in a medium and adjusting temperature and light in the cultivation environment of the seedlings. In the method, the temperature of the cultivation environment is adjusted to 20-25°C, and light is adjusted to a photosynthetic photon flux density of 25-35 μmolm-2s-1 for cultivation. Since the temperature and light in the cultivation environment of the seedlings are appropriately adjusted, sprouts, leaf stalks, and tubers are not infected with filamentous fungi such as mildew, and black ginger is allowed to be raised without being influenced by allelopathy.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】黒ショウガを人工的に栽培する方法について改良を加え、収穫の対象となる根茎(塊茎)の肥大を充分なものとし、すなわち発育不良を回避して黒ショウガを可及的に短時間で効率よく生産できる栽培方法とすることである。
