A device in accordance with embodiments ofthepresent disclosure includes a housing for attachment to mammalian skinincluding anexit port for receiving the distal end of a biosensor and an injectionactivation deviceincluding a mechanism for forcing the sensing device from a first positionwithin thehousing, through the exit port to a second position, with sufficiently highvelocity topartially penetrate the mammalian skin.
