The method involves making and storing reference images of the patient and/or part of the patient in a first sitting for at least two camera positions and for different acquisition axes, making images for subsequent sittings for the same camera setting, superimposing at least two current images with earlier reference images for the same camera setting so differences can be detected and altering the patients position to minimize the differences.
