The present invention relates to the specific silencing of the .alpha.(alpha),.beta.(beta), .gamma.(gamma) and .omega. Furthermore the present invention additionally relates to avector, cell, plant or seed comprising thepolynucleotide, the expression whereof is specifically directed in particulartissues of wheat seeds through gene expression--regulatingsequences such as, for example, the promoter of a gene of .gamma.-gliadins orthe promoter of the gene encoding for aD--hordein.
