The present invention relates to a wheel mounting assembly for a walkerapparatus. The wheelmounting assembly has a wheel fork. The wheel mounting assembly has a frameportion with afirst bore and a second bore disposed generally perpendicular to the firstbore. The wheelmounting assembly has a shaft assembly rotatably connected to the wheel fork.The shaftassembly is partially disposed within the first bore. The shaft assemblyincludes a shaft having afirst annular recess configured to align with the second bore. The wheelmounting assembly has asecuring member at least partially disposed within the second bore so as tocouple to the frameportion and engage with portions of the shaft surrounding the first annularrecess. The shaftassembly is fixedly mounted to the frame portion thereby.
