The rear end area (202) of the absorption body (7) is covered by a flat-material section (200), which is joined inseparably to the crotch portion (8) and forms a pocket (216), open in the longitudinal direction (9), for bodily excretions, wherein the crotch-facing edge (206) of the flat-material section (200) is elastic or elasticated.
