PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent core and an absorbent article capable of effectively preventing leakage of an excreted liquid from the surface of the outer face side and right and left end parts of the absorbent core.
SOLUTION: The absorbent core 13 has a fiber aggregate 21 consisting of collected fibers, absorbent resin powder mixed or dispersed into the fiber aggregate 21, and the first and second sheet bodies 22, 23 as packaging materials for wrapping around the fiber aggregate 21. The second sheet body 23 has a liquid permeability higher than the first sheet body 22 and covers at least a center part in the surface 21a of the skin side of the fiber aggregate 21. The first sheet body 22 consists of water-repellent cloth and covers the surface 21d of the outer face side and fringe parts 21b, 21c of both the right and left sides of the fiber aggregate 21.
