The present invention relates to an antimicrobial peptide, periplanetasin-3, isolated from cockroaches and to a composition thereof. Periplanetasin-3, which is chemically synthesized by the present invention, has a strong antimicrobial activity against gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, and fungi. The antimicrobial peptide according to the present invention has a minor cytotoxicity and strong antimicrobial activity, and therefore, the antimicrobial peptide can be used for developing antibiotics including antimycotics, preservatives for foods, preservatives for cosmetics, and medicines.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017본 발명은 바퀴벌레로 부터 분리한 신규한 펩타이드 페리플라네타신-3 및 그의 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의해 화학적으로 합성된 펩타이드(Periplanetasin-3)는 그람 양성균, 그람 음성균 및 진균류에 대하여 강한 항균 작용을 나타내었다. 본 발명에 의한 상기 항균 펩타이드는 세포 독성이 미미하고, 항균활성이 강하므로 항진균제를 포함하는 항생제, 식품 방부제, 화장품 보존제, 의약품 개발 등에 사용할 수 있다.
