PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel resveratrol derivative and a tyrosinase activity inhibitor comprising the resveratrol derivative.SOLUTION: The invention provides a resveratrol derivative having at least a 5-resorcinol skeleton and represented by formula 1 or formula 2 (in formula 1, R1 is hydrogen or xylosyl, and in formula 2, R2 is xylosyl or glucosyl).
