Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine definierte kristalline Modifikation der Verbindung der Formel (1), Verfahren zu ihrer Herstellung und ihre Verwendung in insektizid oder fungizid wirksamen Zusammensetzungen.Penflufen exhibiting first crystalline modification, and X-ray-powder diffractogram using copper K-alpha -radiation having reflection positions (2theta in [deg] ) of 11.2, 13.3, 18.3, 19.3, 19.6, 22.5 and 23.6, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) preparing penflufen exhibiting first crystalline modification (2) penflufen exhibiting second crystalline modification and X-ray-powder diffractogram using copper K-alpha -radiation having reflection positions (2theta in [deg] ) of 3.3, 6.7, 8.2, 9.9, 14.6, 14.7, 16.3, 16.5, 24.4 and 24.9 (3) a composition comprising penflufen exhibiting first crystalline modification and (4) a composition comprising penflufen exhibiting second crystalline modification.
