The present invention is directed to a skin-mimicking emulsion comprised ofpolyosides,minerals, inositol polyphosphate or phytic acid, polysaccharides,triglycerides, polyols, alpha orbeta hydroxy acids, phospholipids, phytosterols, vitamins, fatty alcohols,essential lipids, aminoacids, and water. All of the inventive ingredients in combination are designto be similar to thosefound in skin and are combined to form a lamellar structure for maximumefficacy. Thecomposition does not include any of the components usually found inconventional emulsions,such as synthetic preservatives, surfactants, fragrances, colorants, acrylicpolymers, gellingagents, sequestrants, and EDTA as such ingredients would be irritating to theskin.
