A disposable diaper according to the present invention comprises: an absorbent； a non-skin surface sheet disposed on the non-skin-facing surface side of the absorbent； and an outer surface sheet disposed on the non-skin-facing surface side of the non-skin surface sheet. The disposable diaper has, in a state of being worn, a ventral-side section located on the ventral side of the wearer, a crotch section located on the crotch of the wearer, and a dorsal-side section located on the dorsal side of the wearer. The absorbent has a low-basis-weight part located at any position from the crotch section to the dorsal-side section and having a relatively low basis weight than the other part of the absorbent. In the disposable diaper, the outer surface sheet and a sheet located on the skin-facing surface side of the outer surface sheet are adhered to each other with an adhesive so that multiple lines of adhesion sections are formed so as to extend in the diaper longitudinal direction. The multiple lines of adhesion sections are located in a region that overlaps with the low-basis-weight part.
