Provided is a photoacoustic imaging system for diagnosis of ophthalmic diseases of animals, including: a laser generating a laser beam； a filter regulating the amount of energy of the laser beam and outputting the laser beam； an optical distributor splitting the laser beam output through the filter into two laser beams and emitting the split laser beams； an optical detector detecting the laser beam by receiving an input of any one of the laser beams emitted from the optical distributor and outputting a result of the detection to the outside as a synchronization signal； a scanner receiving an input of the other one of the laser beams emitted from the optical distributor and causing the laser beam to be emitted in order to diagnostic areas determined in advance while an optical path is changed； and a transducer detecting an ultrasonic signal generated from the diagnostic area and outputting the ultrasonic signal as a photoacoustic signal.본 발명에 따르는 동물 안과 질병 진단을 위한 광음향 영상 시스템은, 레이저 빔을 생성하는 레이저； 상기 레이저 빔의 에너지량을 조절하여 출력하는 필터； 상기 필터를 통해 출력되는 레이저 빔을 두개로 분배하여 출사하는 광분배기； 상기 광분배기로부터 출사되는 레이저 빔 중 어느 하나를 입력받아 레이저 빔을 검출하고 그 검출결과를 동기화신호로서 외부로 출력하는 광검출기； 상기 광분배기로부터 출사되는 레이저 빔 중 다른 하나를 입력받아 광경로를 변경하면서 상기 레이저 빔이 미리 정해둔 진단영역에 순차적으로 조사되게 하는 스캐너； 및 상기 진단영역으로부터 발생되는 초음파 신호를 검출하여 광음향 신호로서 출력하는 트랜스듀서；를 구비함을 특징으로 한다.
