PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic analytical instrument used for the shape measurement of the surface of an eye, and to provide an analytical method using the same.SOLUTION: This analytical instrument includes a projector 11 and a monitoring device 12. The projector has at least one illumination device and an aperture device, the illumination device has at least one first light source 25, and an image pattern is shown on the surface of the eye 13 by the aperture device. The monitoring device has a camera 36 and an objective lens 37, an image of the shown image pattern is recorded by the monitoring device, and a surface shape is derived from the image.
