The present invention relates to a skull substitute composed of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), and to a method for monitoring the body tissue in the skull by using the same. The monitoring method using the skull substitute of the present invention is capable of minimizing the effects of a flow of the cerebrospinal fluid and the intracranial pressure in comparison with the conventional cranial window method using glass. The method as a method for clearly visualizing the body tissue in the skull can be efficiently used as a method for monitoring the body tissue in the skull.본 발명은 폴리다이메틸실옥산 (Polydimethylsiloxane, PDMS)으로 이루어지는 두개골 대용물 및 이를 이용한 두개골 내 생체 조직 모니터링 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 두개골 대용물을 이용한 모니터링 방법은 종래 glass를 이용한 두개골 윈도우(cranial window)기법과 비교하여 뇌압 및 뇌척수액 흐름의 영향을 최소화 시키고, 두개골 내 생체 조직을 보다 선명하게 시각화하는 방법으로서, 두개골 내 생체 조직을 모니터링하는 방법으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
