PURPOSE: A robot suit for assisting the muscular strength of the lower body is provided to prevent unnecessary energy waste and to reduce the operation time of a drive motor. CONSTITUTION: A robot suit for assisting the muscular strength of the lower body comprises a support unit(100), an outer frame, an actuator(400), a magneto-rheological damper unit(500), and a switching unit. The support unit covers the lower body. The outer frame is fixed to and coupled with the outside of the support unit and comprises a joint, an upper frame, and an assistant frame. The actuator is driven by the motor. The magneto-rheological damper unit is connected to the joint in the side of the upper frame and selectively controls damping power.본 발명은 착용형 근력지원 로봇슈트에 과한 것으로, 인체의 하지를 감싸며 착용하기 위한 지지기구； 상기 지지기구 외측에 체결되며, 무릎 위치의 관절부와 상부골격 및 하부골격으로 이루어지는 외골격； 상기 관절부의 외측에 체결되어 상부 또는 하부 골격을 회전운동시키는 하부골격 액츄에이터； 상기 상부골격의 측면에 상기 관절부와 연결되어 상기 하부골격의 회전시 선택적으로 댐핑력을 조절할 수 있는 MR 댐퍼부 및 액츄에이터와 상기 하부골격의 연결하여 선택적으로 회동시킬 수 있는 스위칭부를 포함한다.이와 같은 본 발명을 제공하면, 불필요한 에너지 낭비를 막을 수 있으며 슈트를 착용하였을 때 느끼는 불편함을 줄일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 착용감이 보다 편리하고 구동 범위가 넓어지는 장점이 있다.또한, 전류의 세기를 조절하여 댐핑력을 조절할 수 있다는 점에서 제어가 용이하고, 다양한 환경변화에 빠르게 대응할 수 있는 착용형 로봇슈트를 제공할 수 있다.
