The present invention provides a dental adhesive that exhibits outstanding initial bond strength and bond durability with respect to both dentin and enamel. The present invention pertains to a dental adhesive that includes an asymmetric acrylamide methacrylic acid ester compound (a) represented by general formula (1), an acidic group-containing (meth)acrylic polymerizable monomer (b), and a water-soluble polymerizable monomer (c). In formula (1), X is an optionally substituted C1-C6 straight chain or branched chain aliphatic group or aromatic group, the aliphatic group optionally interrupted by at least one linking group selected from the group consisting of O-, -S-, -CO-, -CO-O-, -O-CO-, -NR1-, -CO-NR1-, -NR1-CO-, -CO-O-NR1, -O-CO-NR1, and -NR1-CO-NR1-. R1 represents a hydrogen atom or optionally substituted C1-C6 straight chain or branched chain aliphatic group.
