PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state detection device, an electronic instrument, a measurement system, a program, etc. for appropriately determining a walking state and a running state based on an acceleration detection value from an acceleration sensor.SOLUTION: A state detection device 100 includes an acquisition part 110 for acquiring an acceleration detection value from an acceleration sensor 200 and a determination part 160 for determining a running state and a walking state based on the acceleration detection value. The determination part 160 detects whether or not the positive-negative sign of the acceleration detection value in a first axis is inverted in a predetermined determination period.
