PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper diaper that combines easiness to wear and wide-range size adjustability, and a method of forming its external sheet in a paper diaper manufacture process.
SOLUTION: A front part 12F and a back part 12B formed to be continuous to each other at the crotch are joined together by heat sealing or the like at a side portion side 12A on one side out of one side or the other side in the width direction. A leg opening LO is formed on the one side, is not joined on the other side. A fastening tape 90 protrudes from a side part on the other side in the back part 12B and is configured to be removably connected to a target tape provided over the external surface of the side part on the other side in the front part 12F. The connection forms the leg opening LO on the other side and a waist opening WO.
