[Problem] To provide a disposable diaper in which fastening tapes (70) can be crossed and attached to a ventral portion of an external sheet while maintaining a predetermined stretch potential. [Solution] The problem is solved by: providing on a dorsal portion of the external sheet the fastening tapes (70) that extend laterally providing in a central portion in a front-back direction of a body portion (74) of the fastening tapes (70) a cutting portion or a groove (75) that extends laterally providing on a lateral inner side portion of a resilient elastic member (77) provided on the body portion a difficult-to-stretch area (S) that extends with an extension force greater than that of the other parts of the resilient elastic member forming the difficult-to-stretch area in a triangular shape in a plan view providing the base of the triangular shape on an inner edge of the body portion along the front-back direction and positioning the apex (83) of the triangular shape on the cutting portion or the groove (75).
