According to the present invention there is provided a method for determining the state of a person, comprising the steps of, sensing a pulse of the person using a photoplethysmograph (PPG) sensor； generating a digital pulse waveform which represents the sensed pulse； determining one or more features from the digital pulse waveform； using the one or more features to determine the state of a person being either or both of: 1) a mix of the three heart, breathing and relaxing conditions； or 2) a mix of the three Tibetan Typologies: Lung, Tripa and Beken.La présente invention concerne un procédé de détermination de l'état d'une personne, comprenant les étapes de détection du pouls de la personne au moyen d'un détecteur de type pléthysmographe optique (PPG)； génération d'une forme d'onde de pouls numérique qui représente le pouls détecté； détermination d'une ou de plusieurs caractéristiques à partir de la forme d'onde de pouls numérique； utilisation de ladite une ou desdites plusieurs caractéristiques pour déterminer l'état d'une personne étant soit l'un soit les deux parmi : 1) un mélange des trois états cardiaque, respiratoire et de détente； ou 2) un mélange des trois typologies tibétaines : vent (loung), bile (triba) et phlegme (peken).
