There is provided a method for controlling chestnut tortrix. More specifically, there are provided a composition physiologically active to chestnut tortrix, containing E,E-8,10-dodecadienoI, which is a substance physiologically active to chestnut tortrix; a sustained-release preparation for controlling chestnut tortrix, including the physiologically active composition and a carrier or a container for sustainedly releasing the physiologically active substance in the physiologically active composition; and a method for controlling chestnut tortrix, including a step of placing the sustained-release preparation in a field to release the physiologically active substance in the sustained-release preparation into the field.
