PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent built-in elements from easily buckling inside a bend section, regarding an endoscope for which a forceps channel and other built-in components are inserted to an insertion section to be inserted into a body cavity.

SOLUTION: A forceps channel 16 is disposed at the center inside the bend section 20. First to fourth spaces 74-77 stipulated by a connection pin 46 are provided on the outer periphery of the forceps channel 16, and the built-in components such as a light guide 63, a signal line 30 and an air/water supply channel 62 are inserted to the spaces respectively. The cross sectional shape of the respective built-in components is turned to an elliptic shape while being matched with the shape of the respective spaces, and the thickness of a tube configuring shells 67 and 71 and the air/water supply channel 62 itself is made uneven. For the respective built-in components, since the thickness is uneven, bending stiffness is improved and buckling inside the bend section 20 hardly occurs.
