The present invention relates to a wheelchair brake system and, more specifically, to a wheelchair brake system capable of preventing a falling accident, which may happen when a person gets in and out of a wheelchair by controlling a brake to be able to move by: operating the brake in a locked state when a person is not in the wheelchair； and automatically releasing the brake only after confirming that the person is on the wheelchair.본 발명은 휠체어 브레이크 시스템에 관한 것이고, 더욱 상세하게는 탑승자가 휠체어에서 탑승하지 않는 상태에서는 브레이크가 잠금 상태로 작동하고, 탑승자가 휠체어에 탑승한 것이 확인된 경우에만 브레이크가 자동 해제되어 이동이 가능하게 제어됨으로써 휠체어를 타고 내릴 때 발생할 수 있는 낙상 안전 사고를 미연에 방지할 수 있는 휠체어 브레이크 시스템에 관한 것이다.
