PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pellet-form pharmaceutical composition providing sustained-release requiring no sustained-release barrier coating, allowing slow release of an active ingredient, and facilitating administration of a short half-life and/or high dose pharmaceutically active substance.SOLUTION: An oral formulation is a sustained-release spherical or non-spherical pellet comprising (a) an active ingredient which is an analgesic agent, a nutritive auxiliary substance, an antiviral drug, an anti-infective drug. an antacid, a high dose medicament, an insect growth regulator or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, (b) a wax-like substance consisting of a fatty alcohol, saturated and unsaturated fatty acid esters, saturated and unsaturated fatty acid glycerides, a hydrogenated fat, a hydrogenated vegetable oil and a cholesterol, and (c) a spheroidizing agent such as microcrystalline cellulose.【課題】徐放性バリアコーティングを必要としない徐放性を提供し、活性成分の緩徐な放出が可能になるとともに、短い半減期および/または高い用量の薬学的に活性な物質を投与するのが容易であるペレット形態の医薬組成物の提供。【解決手段】（a）鎮痛薬、栄養補助物質、抗ウイルス薬、抗感染薬、制酸剤、高用量薬物、昆虫成長調節剤、またはこれらの製薬上許容される塩である活性成分、（b）脂肪アルコール、飽和および不飽和脂肪酸エステル、飽和および不飽和脂肪酸グリセリド、水素化脂肪、水素化植物油、およびコレステロールからなるロウ様物質、および（c）微晶質セルロースなどの球状化剤を含む徐放性球状または非球状ペレットである経口剤形。【選択図】なし
