PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic obtained by blending a cationized ascorbic acid derivative or a salt thereof, which is excellent in adsorbability to the hair, as an antioxidant.SOLUTION: A hair cosmetic comprises a cationized ascorbic acid derivative obtained by substituting a hydroxy group at the 2- and/or 3-position of ascorbic acid with a cationic functional group or a salt thereof which has excellent adsorbability to the hair, and a persistent anti-oxidation effect to the hair is provided by supplying the cationized ascorbic acid derivative or the salt thereof.
