PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition of a probiotic microbe, and a method for using the composition for treatment and prevention of the catheter-associated urinary tract infections.SOLUTION: Provided is a composition for preparing a medical lubricant gel, which composition comprises a mixture of a probiotic microbe, a pharmaceutically acceptable gelling agent and a pharmaceutically acceptable protective agent, wherein said mixture is in freeze-dried form, the pharmaceutically acceptable gelling agent may be selected from a cellulose derivative (e.g., hydroxyethyl cellulose), carbomer, alginate and gelatin, and the pharmaceutically acceptable protective agent may be sucrose.
