PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric reel for fishing facilitated to easily perform clutch operation and winding operation of a driving motor while performing thumbing operation of a spool.SOLUTION: The electric reel for fishing includes a spool 7 on which a fishline is wound, a driving motor 8 for rotationally driving the spool and provided on the reel body 5, an operating member 30 controlling output of the driving motor 8, a clutch OFF switching member 18 switching the operation of the spool 7 from a fishline winding state to a freely rotating state, and a clutch ON switching member 19 switching the operation of the spool 7 from a freely rotating state to a fishline winding state.
