The present invention relates to an X-ray imaging device and a control method thereof. According to the X-ray imaging device and the control method thereof, in the mobile X-ray imaging device, light is emitted from a plurality of light emitting units set according to previously stored source-image distance (SID) information, and a user can intuitively know whether the X-ray imaging device is located at a proper photographing distance from an object through superimposition of the emitted light.
