A process for the extraction of Curcuminoids from Curcuma species: This invention provides is an extraction process with an organic solvent for recovery of curcuminoids from the aqueous solution of hydrotrope after dilution of the hydrotrope solution with water or without dilution at a particular temperature range. The organic solvent selected for the extraction may be immiscible with water such as a group consisting of aromatic hydrocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, ketones, ethers, esters, alcohols, amides and a mixtures thereof.
