The device for vitrification cryopreservation of a cell or tissue of the present invention includes a support and a vitrification solution absorber including at least an adhesive layer and a vitrification solution absorbing layer in the given order on the support. The device includes a portion with no adhesive layer disposed between the support and a portion of the vitrification solution absorbing layer configured to hold a cell or tissue.
