Embodiments of negative pressure wound treatment systems and methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, the device includes a housing surrounding a source of negative pressure and a controller configured to operate the source of negative pressure to provide negative pressure wound therapy to the wound. The housing may also include a communication controller configured to wirelessly transmit and receive data using a communication antenna located on the antenna substrate. The antenna board can be attached to a communication board that includes a communication controller. The antenna board may be electrically connected to the communication board via a single connector on the communication board. The ground plane of the antenna may be located on the communication board.
