PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant which expresses high removal efficiency for aldehyde and can be used for a long period of time.
SOLUTION: A honeycomb molded body is obtained from a hydrated magnesium silicate clay mineral and a binding material, and carbohydrazide is added to the honeycomb molded body to obtain the deodorant. The carbohydrazide is added so as to be &ge1 pts.wt. and &le15 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the honeycomb molded body to obtain the deodorant. Phosphoric acid is added so as to be &ge5 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the honeycomb molded body to obtain the deodorant.
