PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the comfortability of a subject with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes high frequency coils and coil support parts. Each high frequency coil is arranged inside a gradient magnetic field coil and generates a high frequency magnetic field in a static magnetic field. Each coil support part is formed to have a nearly cylindrical shape and supports the high frequency coil. The coil support part is formed to allow the predetermined range including the center of the magnetic field to be formed in parallel with an axial direction and also the respective inner peripheries of both of the ends of the coil support part are larger than the inner periphery of the predetermined range.【課題】簡易な構成で被検体の居住性を高めること。【解決手段】実施形態に係る磁気共鳴イメージング装置は、高周波コイルと、コイル支持部とを備える。高周波コイルは、傾斜磁場コイルの内側に配置され、静磁場中で高周波磁場を発生する。コイル支持部は、略円筒形状に形成され、前記高周波コイルを支持する。また、コイル支持部は、磁場中心を含む所定範囲が軸方向に対して平行に形成され、かつ、前記コイル支持部の両端それぞれの内周が前記所定範囲の内周より大きい。【選択図】図１
