The present invention relates to a spool brake device of a fishing reel. When viewed on the basis of a handle of a fishing reel, the spool brake device of a fishing reel comprises: a right cover having a handle rotatably connected and attached thereto； a left cover formed on an opposite side of the right cover； a frame body formed between the right cover and the left cover； a spool inserted and installed inside the frame body to be able to be rotated by receiving a rotating force from the handle； a spool cover fixed and installed on the inside of the left cover； a magnet holder mounted inside the spool cover to be able to move forward and backward； and a plurality of permanent magnets fixed and attached to the magnet holder at regular intervals to brake the spool by pulling the rotated spool by a magnetic force, wherein the permanent magnets are installed to be fixed to the magnet holder so that N and S poles are alternately exposed, and the permanent magnets are arranged and installed at equal intervals to form a circular shape on the magnet holder.
