A method and an arrangement for influencing and/or detecting magnetic particles in a region of action is disclosed, which method comprises the steps of: - generating a magnetic selection field having a pattern in space of its magnetic field strength such that a first sub-zone having a low magnetic field strength and a second sub-zone having a higher magnetic field strength are formed in the region of action - changing the position in space of the two sub-zones in the region of action by means of a magnetic drive field so that the magnetization of the magnetic particles change locally, - acquiring signals, which signals depend on the magnetization in the region of action, which magnetization is influenced by the change in the position in space of the first and second sub-zone, wherein a magnetic drive vector of the magnetic drive field is rotated in at least one rotation plane.Linvention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour influencer et/ou détecter des particules magnétiques dans une région daction, lequel procédé comprend les étapes consistant à : générer un champ de sélection magnétique ayant un motif dans lespace de son intensité de champ magnétique de telle sorte quune première zone secondaire ayant une intensité de champ magnétique faible et une seconde zone secondaire ayant une intensité de champ magnétique plus élevée sont formées dans la région daction, changer la position dans lespace des deux zones secondaires dans la région daction au moyen dun champ de commande magnétique de telle sorte que la magnétisation des particules magnétiques changent localement, acquérir des signaux, lesquels signaux dépendent de la magnétisation dans la région daction, laquelle magnétisation est influencée par le changement de la position dans lespace des première et seconde zones secondaires. Selon linvention, un vecteur de commande magnétique du champ de commande magnétique est mis à tourner dans au moins un plan de rotation.
