The present invention relates to a method for preparing a hydrogel having excellent biocompatibility by using a keratin derivative extracted from hairs of animals. The method of the present invention comprises: (i) a process of dissolving a keratin derivative, which is extracted from hairs of animals including a human being, in water to prepare an aqueous keratin derivative solution； (ii) a process of adding and dissolving polyvinyl alcohol and polyethylene imine into the aqueous keratin solution to prepare an aqueous mixture solution； and (iii) a process of performing a radiation treatment on the aqueous mixture solution. According to the present invention, a hydrogel useful for wound healing and skin regeneration because of eco-friendly and biocompatible characteristics thereof can be prepared by using only a low dose of radiation and at least chemicals, and thus can minimize environmental pollution and energy consumption. Further, according to the present invention, the radiation treatment leads to sterilization in addition to the preparation of the hydrogel, thereby skipping a post process for treating toxic materials.본 발명은 동물의 털(hair)로 부터 추출한 케라틴 유도체를 이용하여 생체적합성이 우수한 하이드로 겔을 제조하는 방법에 관한 것으로서, (ⅰ) 사람을 포함하는 동물의 털로부터 추출한 케라틴 유도체를 물에 용해하여 케라틴 유도체 수용액을 제조하는 공정； (ⅱ) 상기 케라틴 유도체 수용액에 폴리비닐알코올과 폴리에틸렌이민(Polyethylene imine)을 첨가, 용해하여 혼합물 수용액을 제조하는 공정； 및 (ⅲ) 상기 혼합물 수용액에 방사선을 조사하는 공정；들을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.본 발명은 친환경적이고 생체적합성이 우수하여 상처치료나 피부재생 등에 유용한 하이드로 겔을 낮은 선량의 방사선과 최소한의 화학약품 만을 사용하여 제조할 수 있고, 이로 인해, 환경오염과 에너지 소모량을 최소화 한다.또한 본 발명은 방사선 조사에 의해 하이드로 겔의 제조와 함께 멸균처리가 되어 독성물질 처리를 위한 후처리 공정을 생략할 수 있다.
