The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition, a cosmetic composition and a functional food composition containing, as an active ingredient, extracts of Smilax glabra which is a rhizome of Smilax china, and are effective for allergic diseases. More particularly, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition, a cosmetic composition and a functional food composition which contain extracts of Smilax glabra which can be dissolved in a polar solvent, and therefore, are effective for allergic diseases such as atopic dermatitis which is globally increasing. The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition, a cosmetic composition and a functional food composition containing, as an active ingredient, a single extract of Smilax glabra.
