Apparatuses may include an ablation device for treatment of tissue including an ablation structure (e.g., 100) with a plurality of bipolar electrode zones (e.g., 105, 110, 115). Each of the zones (105, 110, 115) may include an inzone channel pair (e.g., Al, B2) comprising a positive channel and a negative channel. The ablation structure (100) may be configured such that, for any adjacent electrode zone pair (105 and 110) comprising a first electrode zone (105) and a second electrode zone (110) adjacent to the first electrode zone (105), the positive channel (A) of the first electrode zone (105) is electrically distinct from the positive channel (B) of the second electrode zone (110), and the negative channel (1) of the first electrode zone (105) is electrically distinct from the negative channel (2) of the second electrode zone (110). Moreover, the ablation structure (100) may be arranged such that a total number of electrically distinct channels that is less than twice a total number of the plurality of electrode zones.1/7 105 110 115 120 130 140 A B A 1 2 3 125 135 145 FIG.
