This invention provides an absorptive wearing good, which has excellent permeabilityto outside air from an absorber and does not sacrifice the visibility of printedpicture and characters, and a method for manufacturing the same. The absorptivewearing good comprises a liquid impermeable back sheet (2) permeable to air andan absorber (3) having a liquid retaining capability bonded to the back sheet(2) and is characterized in that an outer sheet (5) provided with an elastic member(4) extended parallel to the outer sheet (5) is superimposed on and bonded to theback sheet (2) on its side remote from the absorber (3), the elastic member (4)is bonded to the outer sheet (5) intermittently under elongation, an opening(7) is provided at a position where the outer sheet (5) provided with the elasticmember (4) faces the absorber (3), the elastic member (4) extends under elongationin such a direction that the distance of the elastic member (4) from the openingedge (8) in the opening (7) and the absorber (3) is increased, and the back sheet(2) is exposed on the opening (7).
