PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To energize and heat a food material gelatinized when heated using Joule heat.SOLUTION: A Joule heating device 10 is used for energizing and heating a food material gelatinized when heated. A heating pipe 12 has electrodes 13a to 13c and spacers 14a, 14b, and a passage 11 is provided in the inside thereof. On a rotary shaft 30 provided in the heating pipe 12, scrape-off plates 41, 42 are provided. In the scrape-off plates 41, 42, scrape-off edges in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the heating pipe 12 are provided.
