The device (1) has a lower rotatable roller (17), an upper rotatable roller (19), and a configuration (C1) for untangling vegetable fiber bales e.g. straw bales. The upper rotatable roller is in an active position (P1) for loosening the lower rotatable roller. Another configuration is provided for the device for dispensing cylindrical fiber bales, and the upper rotatable roller is in another position for revealing the lower rotatable roller.
