A reversibly locking assembly such as a stethoscope holster or holder for other devices. The holder comprises a clip adapted for attachment to an article of clothing wherein the clip comprises a clip channel wherein the clip channel comprises an upper section and a lower section wherein the lower section is wider than the upper section. A connector is provided which is adapted for attachment to a device such as a stethoscope. The device may have a tube and when the tube is aligned with the clip channel, the asymmetric plate preferably passes through the upper section. Lorsque le tube nest pas aligné avec le canal de pince, il est préférable que la plaque asymétrique ne passe pas à travers la section supérieure.
