PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing composition having wide deodorizing effect against various substances causing a malodor and capable of obtaining higher deodorizing effect upon the contact with a liquid. SOLUTION: A deodorizing composition is prepared by granulating and flocculating zinc oxide and functional particles in water so as to obtain granules with a mean particle size of 0.1 mm or more. The functional particles comprise silicon dioxide.
