PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operation of a plurality of modalities having different kinds, and simplify an update work of Console Application Program (CAP).SOLUTION: A portable console terminal 10 includes a program acquisition unit 51 which: accesses a server 16 where a plurality of kinds of Console Application Programs (CAPs) corresponding to a plurality of kinds of modalities are stored； and acquires the CAPs. The portable console terminal 10 further includes a control unit 50 which can execute the plurality of kinds of CAPs, and achieve console functions of the modalities corresponding to the CAPs, according to the kinds of the CAPs. And the portable console terminal 10 includes a radio communication unit for performing communication by radio, including transmission of operation signals for the modalities, under the control of the control unit.【課題】種類が異なる複数のモダリティの操作を可能にし、かつ、コンソールアプリケーションプログラム（ＣＡＰ）の更新作業を簡単にする。【解決手段】携帯型コンソール端末１０は、複数種類のモダリティに対応する複数種類のコンソールアプリケーションプログラム（ＣＡＰ）が格納されたサーバ１６にアクセスして、ＣＡＰを取得するプログラム取得部５１を備えている。また、複数種類のＣＡＰを実行することが可能であり、ＣＡＰの種類に応じて、ＣＡＰに対応するモダリティのコンソール機能を実現する制御部５０を備えている。また、制御部の制御の下、モダリティに対する操作信号の送信を含む通信を無線で行う無線通信部を備えている。【選択図】図３
