PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a smooth focus adjustment even when a diopter correction lens is inserted.
SOLUTION: A fundus camera includes: a fundus imaging optical system having a focusing lens disposed to move in a direction of an optical axis and a diopter correction lens disposed to be inserted into and detached from an optical path to correct the diopter of an eye with a strong refractive error for imaging an ocular fundus of a subjects eye a target projection optical system for projecting a focus target to the ocular fundus of the subjects eye a fundus observation optical system for observing an observation image of the ocular fundus of the subjects eye in addition to the focus target projected to the ocular fundus an operational part for outputting an operational signal from an examiner to move the focusing lens in accordance with the operation by the examiner and a driving controller which controls the driving of a driving part based on the operational signal output from the operational part and controls the driving part in a manner that the focusing lens moves at a moving speed higher than a speed in the evacuation of the diopter correction lens when the diopter correction lens is inserted.
