Die Erfindung betrifft ein System zur Unterstützung der Plantarflexion im oberen Sprunggelenk, umfassend eine Unterschenkelorthese (1) mit einem Fußteil mit einer Laufsohle (3) sowie eine Manschette (5) zur Befestigung der Unterschenkelorthese (1) im Bereich des Schienbeinkopfs, wobei das Fußteil und die Manschette (5) mit einer den Unterschenkel an der Beinhinterseite umschließenden Feder (7) verbunden sind. An der Unterschenkelorthese (7) sind Sensoren (11) zur Erfassung eines Bewegungsmusters positioniert und das System umfasst eine Auswerteeinheit, die derart eingerichtet ist, dass von den Sensoren (11) erfasste Daten zur Erfassung des Bewegungsmusters mit Solldaten verglichen werden und bei Abweichung eine Information an den Träger der Unterschenkelorthese gegeben wird.
